La dura historia de Tim Guènard comienza cuando a los tres años le abandona su madre y se queda a cargo de un padre que no ahorra en malos tratos. Este hombre le ató a un poste eléctrico y en una de las muchas palizas que le propinaba le rompió 55 huesos que le dejó casi tres años internado en un hospital.
Como sus padres no le querían entró en un orfanato a los siete años donde tampoco nadie lo quiso adoptar. Además, sufrió el maltrato de las personas encargadas de su cuidado y acabó en un hospital psiquiátrico por un error administrativo.
El peor recuerdo de su infancia es haber estado tres años en la cama de un hospital por culpa de los golpes que le dió su padre. “Cuando bebía, no sabía lo que hacía y me pegaba sin darse cuenta. Lo que más me dolió es que durante ese tiempo de convalecencia, nunca tuve una visita”.
Durante su infancia vivió huidas, más maltratos físicos, una violación a los 15 años de edad y problemas con mafias de la prostitución. Pero su suerte comenzó a cambiar cuando, a los 16 años, una jueza fue la primera persona que realmente se ocupó de él: le consiguió un trabajo como aprendiz de escultor de gárgolas y Tim comenzó a ser alguien.
