One way to learn phrasal verbs for many Indo-European language speakers is to look for an easier synonymous expression, very often a latin word, you then write down a sentence with the phrasal verb and the same sentence with the synonymous expression, you read them out and it should help you remember the phrasal verb.
For example:
Bob the Canadian is going to act out 50 phrasal verbs so you can see those expressions in context and learn their use.
Bob is going to represent 50 phrasal verbs...
Bob is going to dramatize 50 phrasal verbs...
Bob is going to play 50 phrasal verbs...
